Yesterday we had the pleasure of providing some Magic Selfie Mirror Wedding entertainment for Charlotte and Ben’s special day at Leeds Castle in Kent.

The wedding and reception were taking place in the stunningly elegant, 16th Century Maiden’s Tower. A glamorous, self-contained building adjacent to the main castle on castle island.

We arrived at around 6.30pm so we could get the Selfie Mirror set up during the room turnaround, and to our delight found the castle bathed in sunshine, with the happy couple seizing the opportunity to have a few last photos with their photographer, Dan Potter.

It’s always nice when we arrive at a venue and there’s a happy, relaxed vibe and that’s certainly what we found with Charlotte and Ben’s guests. In fact it must have been one of the most relaxed weddings we’ve been to this year. It’s also nice to work with other suppliers you know and have worked with before, so we were even more pleased to see Paul Day as the Toastmaster, Dan Elliot DJ’ing, Matty Evans working his magic.

It was the first time we’ve had our Magic Selfie Mirror at Maidens Tower and we were a little unsure where it would go as the main room isn’t the largest. However, we needed have worried, it fitted perfectly in the rear corner with plenty of additional room for the table and all the props.

So there we were all set up and ready to go and as soon as the sun began to set and the guests moved inside, the party really started.

Another great day at another amazing Kent venue!

And if you're looking to hire a photo booth or selfie mirror in Kent then please make sure you get in touch.

<![CDATA[Green Screen Photo Booth]]>Tue, 14 Feb 2017 17:02:55 GMThttp://juicedphotobooth.co.uk/blog/green-screen-photo-boothThis Friday we were fortunate enough to provide our Photo booth at The Orangery, Turkey Mill in Maidstone for the wedding of Jessica and Christopher. Their wedding had a very subtle Disney theme running through it and Jessica asked us if we could add some personalisation to keep in with their theme.

Of course, we were delighted to help. Firstly we discussed the props. We always have a big range of photo booth props because we believe they really help make for some hilarious pictures, and we also have some Disney related items, however Jessica wanted some personalised signs made for guests to hold.

As we make all of our own signs, this was no problem, and we made various signs with phrases such as, 'Hakuna Matata', 'Some people are worth melting for' and 'to infinity and beyond'. We even produced them in the Disney font, known as 'Waltograph'.

Next was the photo layout, which again had to be Disney themed but not too in your face. The layout we agreed on was to have a subtle Mickey Mouse Silhouette either side of their names. We think it turned out rather well.

Finally there was the green screen technology. Again our booths have the option within the software to provide green screen backgrounds. We're often asked what this means and in truth, the idea is simple. We set up the booth with a green background. The software then works it's magic and makes that colour transparent and replaces it with another image, or images. In this case, Jessica and Christopher wanted the Disney castle to appear behind their guests. Simple, and again, we think the results speak for themselves, don't you?
It's fair to say the evening was a huge success and Jessica and Christopher were really happy with their album and USB of some fantastic images to treasure forever.

We love a green screen and think it really adds something to the photos, but there is a down side, because of the way the software works, it literally replaces anything green with the chosen images. So for us it means no green props.
But probably even more importantly, it means anyone wearing green can have the problem of looking like a floating head with no body, and guess what, 3 of Jess and Chris's guests were wearing green dresses!!
Fortunately they all saw the funny side and actually quite enjoyed the crazy pics that resulted from their attire!

So be warned, if you're attending a wedding or event with a green screen photo booth, maybe choose a different colour for your outfit!

<![CDATA[10 tips to make the most of your photobooth]]>Mon, 21 Mar 2016 11:05:04 GMThttp://juicedphotobooth.co.uk/blog/10-tips-to-make-the-most-of-your-photoboothPicture
Here at Juiced Photobooth we always want you and your guests to have the best time possible when you hire one of our top quality fun photo booths. We promise we’ll do everything to make sure the photos you get are high quality, including studio quality lighting, DSLR cameras and HD Touch screens, but the thing that really makes the difference depends on you and the users.

And with that in mind, here are some of our top tips for making sure your photobooth experience leaves you with hilarious and memorable photos;

 • Location, Location, Location – Your photobooth is part of your entertainment, so where you put it matters. Give some thought to where you’re going to have us. We love to be near the action but putting us right next to a speaker where the DJ is blasting out music is not the best idea if you want us to be able to communicate with your guests and make sure you get awesome photos. Likewise trying to fit us into a small space like a corridor where people will need to get access to things like the toilets doesn’t really lead to a good experience for anyone (it has happened!).
 • It’s all in the timing – make sure we are there for the times that will work best on your day. It’s no good us starting at 7pm if that’s when you’ve told gets to arrive. As we all know, most gusts are ‘fashionably late’ and probably won’t arrive until 7.30 or 8 o’clock. Similarly, don’t book us to be there until the bitter end. If your event finishes at midnight we can pretty much guarantee that, if you have a good DJ/band, your guests will be filling the dance floor for the last hour and we’ll be standing there twiddling our thumbs.
 • Spread the word – we always do our best to let people know we’re there, including getting the DJ to announce when we’re open and remind people during the evening, but the best way to make sure people know you have a photobooth is by telling them.
 • Be prepared to look ridiculous - that’s what Juiced photobooths are for. These aren’t formal posed photos, when you’re in the booth, the sillier you are, the more fun you’ll have, and the more you’ll laugh when you look back at them in years to come.
 • Get your props ready - We always bring with us a huge range of hats, wigs, glasses, inflatables, signs and other silly props, to ensure great fun. In fact half the fun of it is dressing up. So make sure you choose your props before you go in the booth, you might even want to take extras in and change between photos for even more chaotic laughs!
 • Add your own – we like to think we provide a fantastic range of photobooth props for your event – but if you have any crazy ideas for props and want to bring some of your own then please do. Pretty much anything can be a prop (within reason!).
 • Signs – people love our funny signs that say things like ‘Wedding Crasher’ and ‘here for the beer’, but if you have anything you’d like on a sign let us know. We make all our own signs and can easily knock up some bespoke ones for you.
 • Fill her up - Our booths hold up to 8 people so why not grab your besties and go for it. There’s nothing like a photo of you all looking ridiculous together, switching places, pulling faces (your own and others!) and swapping props between shots.
 • Made for 2 - Whether it’s your significant other or your best friend, a 2 person photo can be anything you want it to be. Steal a quick kiss, have a cuddle or just get some hilarious pics to look back on and laugh at. When it comes to photobooths, 2 heads are usually better than 1.
 • You poser - There’s nothing wrong with doing what the rest do but why not try something a little different. Click here for a list of photo booth pose ideas!
There you have it. We hope all of the above tips help you when planning your wedding or party photobooth and if you'd like a quote from us to provide one of our awesome photobooths at your next event please click here or email us here.

<![CDATA[Get creative with your Wedding Photo Booth Hire]]>Thu, 07 May 2015 23:22:28 GMThttp://juicedphotobooth.co.uk/blog/get-creative-with-your-wedding-photo-booth-hireMay officially signals the start of the Wedding season for us here at Juiced Photo Booth so we thought we'd share some ideas you can incorporate in your Wedding Reception Photo Booth.

Have a look through these and of course if you have any other ideas we'd love to hear them .....
 • Buy some cheap white eraser board and glue a frame around it then ask your guests to write messages (hopefully clean!) with a dry marker to hold in the pictures. You could always use a chalk board and chalk but that may be a bit messy.
 • Have a bowl or a hat with slips of paper containing song titles that the guests have to mime in the photographs. You could maybe even give a prize at the end of the night for the best/most impressive.
 • Don't like the idea of song titles, why not try some questions for them to answer, such as;
 1. Who will get drunker, the Bride or the Groom?
 2. What is your favorite thing about the groom/bride?
 3. What is the best advice you could give to the newly married couple?
 4. What has happened during the day that will make them laugh when they look back at the photos?
 • Get some props to fit your theme. We always provide a large range of fun props when people hire our photo booth but if you have a specific theme you would like to incorporate, let us know. We're always buying new props and will do our very best to help.
 • Group pictures — you'll be making sure you get the right group shots for your formal pictures, why not do the same with your informal ones in the evening. You'll cherish them just as much in the years to come. Provide us with a list of group shots you'd like and our photo booth attendants will do our best to get them done for you.

We live in a digital age, where photos and selfies are taken all the time, but there is still nothing quite like the combination of dressing up, pulling faces, having fun and then getting an instantly printed copy of the photos to give you even more special memories of your day.

<![CDATA[Westenhanger Castle - a stunning Kent venue]]>Fri, 28 Nov 2014 00:11:10 GMThttp://juicedphotobooth.co.uk/blog/westenhanger-castle-a-stunning-kent-venuePicture
We took a little trip down the M20 to Hythe today, to meet with Sarah Poole at Westenhanger Castle.

We love a Castle and now that Sarah is the Director we seized our opportunity to spend a very pleasant morning being shown around every inch of this Grade 1 listed building and it is simply stunning.

If you dream of hiring a Castle venue for your wedding or event then boy does this venue deliver. It's current owners, The Forge family, have undertaken an amazing conservation effort in conjunction with English Heritage and you can see the benefits of this around every corner. Original Stonework, huge fireplaces, the keep and even the Dove nests!

And now we are part of Sarah's recommended supplier team, along with our Magician, Robert Orange, we really cannot wait to start entertaining guests at this truly one of a kind venue.

To find out more about this venue visit www.westenhangercastle.co.uk and to find out more about our magician, visit www.robertorange.co.uk.
